Developmental Edit
An A to B Editing developmental edit involves tackling the ‘bigger picture’ elements of your manuscript. This means looking at plot, character development, pace, structure and theme. I’ll keep in mind the genre that you’re writing in and assess where overall improvements can be made. I’ll also pay close attention to what’s working and the strengths of your manuscript!
What do you receive?
A detailed editorial report and comments in the margins of your Word document so you can tackle your revisions with confidence.
How much is it?
$0.018AUD per word.

Line/Copy Edit
An A to B Editing line/copy edit looks at your manuscript at the sentence level. This involves assessing word choice, clarity, syntax, intention, consistency, grammar, punctuation and spelling. Line/copy editing focuses on both the style and mechanics of writing. During this stage, paragraph styling is applied to your manuscript, if desired.
What do you receive?
A brief editorial report and a marked-up Word document (using track changes) so you can choose what stays and what goes as you revise.
How much is it?
$0.023AUD per word.

Proofread
The last stage of the editing process, an A to B Editing proofread ensures your manuscript is clean, error-free and ready for whatever comes next! Paragraphs are checked for consistent styling and any stray typos are fixed in line with your style sheet or relevant style guide.
What do you receive?
A clean and accurate manuscript (in Word format) that’s ready for the next stage of your process, plus a brief report on the errors fixed (including a list of pull quotes suitable for marketing and promotional purposes).
How much is it?
$0.01AUD per word.
