I’ve always been an editor at heart.

Ever since I was young, I put my perfectionist tendencies to use, pointing out errors in newspapers, books, signs – you name it!

I escaped into books when I was a kid, spending most of my time on my beanbag in my room, feet perched over the heater, reading. It was my very first passion.

I was fascinated with what it takes to create a book, a story, a world. When the time came, I studied writing and publishing at university, earning my Bachelor in Writing and Publishing and Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing. From there, I enrolled in internships, volunteered at literary festivals and started freelance editing.

I’m also a writer, so I know how it feels to hand over your writing to be edited. I have a cupboard full of journals, my notes app is probably my most used app, and I have too many first draft stories on my laptop. I love to write short fiction, prose poetry and am currently drafting (at this stage) a literary fiction novel (I’m a bit of a pantser).

As a reader and editor, I love stories with big ideas that overflow with emotion and character. I want to read stories that explore relationships, the complexities of navigating worlds that work against us and characters that refuse the status quo. Literary fiction, romance, fantasy and contemporary fiction are some of the genres I love the most.
